CareersFamily and Internal Medicine Expands to South Reno
Northern Nevada Medical Group (NNMG) announced the addition of a new family and internal medicine clinic located at 6630 S. McCarran Blvd., Bldg. C, Suite 202 in Reno. Locally trained family medicine providers Marie McCormack, MD and John Watson, MD join the practice alongside mid-level provider Kathryn Authier, PA-C. The three providers join the Group’s growing list of family medicine providers and clinics in the Reno-Sparks area.
“We are proud to expand access to care for patients across the region,” said Karla Pambogo, RN, MBA, Market Director of Northern Nevada Medical Group. “These well-known providers will be a great fit in our group and we look forward to serving additional patients.”
Meet Our New Additions
Marie McCormack, MD
Dr. Marie McCormack has 28-plus years of experience in family medicine, caring for youth to seniors. Additionally, she has served in various leadership roles both in market and in rural communities in Nevada. She completed a family medicine residency at the University of Kansas, Wichita Campus and prior earned her medical degree from the University of Nevada, Reno. Dr. McCormack is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice, the Nevada Academy of Family Practice and obtained certification by the Board of Family Medicine.
John Watson, MD
John Watson, MD attended the University of Nevada School of Medicine and went on to complete an internal medicine residency from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City. He has practiced in the area for 16 years and held numerous leadership positions at a local Health System. Dr. Watson is passionate about patient experience and ensuring his patients’ long-term health is well managed.
Kathryn Authier, PA-C
Kathryn Authier, PA-C attended Emory University School of Medicine’s physician assistant program and prior earned an undergraduate Community Health Sciences degree from the University of Nevada, Reno. She is NCCPA certified as a Physician Assistant and a member of the American and Nevada Academies of Physician Assistants.
